Many of the most beautiful photographic prints have been made using the platinum process. The tactility and sublety of these prints made on fine art papers transcend what is possible with other processes.
On these two days we will make platinum prints from either digital or film negatives from either stock images or images students have brought with them.
Platinum prints with the best range of tone and subtlety of gradation are made from large format negatives taken ‘in camera’.
The workshop can be extended to include taking photographs on 10 x 8 cameras and the development of the negatives for platinum printing.
