Many of the most beautiful photographic prints have been made using the platinum process. The tactility and subtlety of these prints, made on fine art papers, transcend what is possible with other processes. For the first 120 years the best platinum prints were made from contact negatives with an enhanced contrast range.

The first workshop on
7 & 8 July will include making large format negatives exposed and developed to produce those of the necessary density range. This workshop will include taking photographs on large format cameras.

On the second workshop on 28 & 29 July we will make digital negatives of the necessary density range to produce platinum positive prints similar to those produced from film. This allows for working from scans or digital files, students may bring their own.
