I have developed my own approach to Gum Printing using watercolours and acrylics and have found it necessary to differentiate my way of making gum prints to avoid confusion with other methods, popular over recent years.
These tend, to some eyes, to lack the subtlety of colour of which the process is capable or to attempt to replicate what is better done at a high street processor.
The methods associated with the standard process also tend to be somewhat overcomplicated and long-winded.

I will demonstrate the process using my film negatives.
We will then go on to produce a colour gum print from a digital negative printed on water colour paper.
