We will be running three separate two-day workshops on 18 and 19 July and 21 and 22 July and 26 and 27 September that will enable those on the workshop to achieve beauty of subtlety and gradation using their own negatives or prints. There will also be a one day workshop at Photofusion on 29 July.

Terry King of Hands-On Pictures has been making
gum bichromate prints for nearly forty years. He was awarded a fellowship of the Royal Photographic Scociety for a panel of gum prints in 1982. He has had one man shows at what is now the National Media Museum. Over this time he has developed a method of making gum prints that uses colour as would the great watercolourists such as Turner and Thomas Girtin. This gives scope for greater subtlety and creativity than using separations to make four colour prints.
